Jacques Yves Cousteau
Jeremy Clare Sexsmith, 73, died May 19, 1998, at Jefferson General Hospital in Port Townsend, Wash.
Born March 8, 1925, in Hollywood, Calif., to Harold Ogden and Miriam Wheaton (Dunbar) Sexsmith, he married Louella Ann Ormsby on Aug. 27, 1955, in Tracy, Calif.
Mr. Sexsmith served in the US Navy on a submarine during World War II. He graduated from Occidental College in Los Angeles and from the master’s program at San Diego State College. He worked as a fisheries biologist in California and Alaska and later as a science instructor in New York State.
He moved to Port Townsend in 1982 from California.
Survivors include his wife, Louella, at their home; son Whitney; daughter Suzanne; two grandchildren; brother Thomas Sexsmith of Diamond Bar, Calif.
At his request there will be no service.
Memorials are suggested to Jefferson County Fire District 6, Port Townsend, WA or Jefferson General Hospital Fund, Port Townsend WA.
