This afternoon (Thursday) from DeMark Memorial chapel, services for the late Anna Hanson, wife of Paul Hanson, farmer in the Carbona section, were held. She leaves two little girls, Lois and Jonan, the eldest but nine years old.
Anna Hanson was known and loved by practically every resident of the Carbona section where she has resided for the past several years. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Robinson of Inglewood. She leaves four sisters and one brother. They are Mrs. Russell Foster and Thomas Robinson of Inglewood; Mrs. J. H. Kennedy of Huntington Park; Mrs. Whitney Ormsby of Tracy; Mrs. John Steinhafel of San Francisco, and Mrs. J. W. Shaw Jr. of San Diego. She was a native of Canada and 28 and a half years of age.
The services at DeMark chapel were under the auspices of the Christian Science society and were attended by many local friends as well as her relatives. Private committal services were held at Casa Bonita crematory in Stockton.
Death followed a long illness, much of which time deceased has been confined at Bret Harte sanatorium and at San Joaquin General hospital, having passed away at the latter place.
Along with her many other friends, it was the privilege of the publishers of the Tracy Press to know this young woman well. For a number of years she served as the Carbona correspondent for this paper and during all those years she devoted every energy to gather the news. She was never satisfied with covering any news story until she had all the facts.
Anna Hanson was a girl who will be missed not only by the members of her own family but by all who ever really knew her.
Although afflicted with a disease from which she had little chance to recover, yet she maintained a cheerfulness throughout and made those who called upon her at her sick bed come away with a feeling of her cheerfulness reflected to them.
As stated, the services at DeMark's on Thursday afternoon, were under the auspices of the Christian Science Society. Mrs. Blanche Wolfe, reader of the First Christ Science church of Sacramento was the reader. Mrs. John Robertson played "Because" and "End of a Perfect Day" on the organ.
Pall bearers were H. J. Kennedy, J. W. Ormsby, Capt. J. F. Shaw, Jr., H. D. Gerhart, J. Steinhefel and Robt. C. Hanson.
