Davie F. R. Ormsby

October 1908 - December 2000

Davie R. Ormsby, 92, of Tracy died Dec. 29 at Tracy Convalescent Hospital.


Mrs. Ormsby was a native of Pueblo, Colo. She lived in Tracy 75 years. She was a corporate secretary and worked for the Plainview Water District for 20 years. She worked at the Tracy Defense Depot for three years. She was a member of Tracy First United Methodist Church. She was a former 4-H leader and was a member of the Lilly Hansen Senior Center.


She Is survived by her children, John Ormsby of Sacramento, Tom Ormsby of Lone Pine, Mont., Louella Sexsmith of Canaan, N.H., and Jeanne Ormsby of Arlington, Va.; sister Patricia Kennedy of Florida; and 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.


A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Tracy Public Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church. No visitation. Hotchkiss Mortuary in charge of arrangements.


Remembrances may be made to Tracy Public Library, 20. E. Eaton Ave., Tracy.
